Built around the field job
After lookup, inspect section and aliquot outlines, copy the canonical description or coordinates, measure distance and bearing, save the site with access notes and open navigation. Reopened sites retain their grid overlays.
Offline means the grid, not every map tile
The transformed township index, parsing and geometry are bundled with the app. Apple Maps supplies the background basemap and satellite imagery, so those tiles can still need service unless cached.
Navigation estimate—not a survey
PLSS grid output is useful for route planning and field orientation. Verify critical locations with official records and a licensed surveyor.
